After months of development, we're very happy to announce the 8X-RC is
available to the public! With this new card for your sim, you can add
up to 8 mechanical or Optical rotary encoders to your sim setup. Just
as flexible as the original QRC, this card adds even more flexibility
to your oversim sim experience.

Even
as we write this, it's difficult to believe that we're getting geared
up for the Fall/Winter season, when everyone hunkers down for some serious
simming. Beta testing the EPIC USB is going well. After all of this, I
hope we at least get a t-shirt!
Look for upcoming posts about the new look of EPL code, more site revisions,
and more products that will surely be a welcome addition to any hardcore
simmer.
Blue Skies for now!

EPIC
USB SNEAK PEEK

Posted 1/24/2002
Here's the latest version of some EPL code I've been working on for the
EPIC USB. It looks a lot different. If you are familiar with the C
programming language, you should see many things familiar.
Here's some of the things you can expect:
1. All EPL Code is case-sensitive now
2. Variables can now be set with an upper and lower limit. They can also
be made to wrap around or stop at the limits.
3. The over syntax and constructs are much simpler to use
4. Working with displays is infinitely simpler. e.g.: Display(Com1_Active,
Mod, Row, "999.99")
5. Display lead-zero blanking depending on how display is defined
6. Decimal points are now incredibly simple. (See #4)
7. 'Devices' can be defined, which include connectors, displays, rotaries
and buttons
8. Buttons are much easier to define and work with.
Overall,
EPIC USB syntax just 'feels' more like a programming language, thanks
to the efforts of the Developers and numerous Beta testers.
