Miami ARTCC presents the 3rd Annual
"SOUTHERN MIGRATION"
It's that time of year again. The Snowbirds
are heading to Florida to spend the winter months in the warm
and sunny south. Miami ARTCC invites all Pilots to load up their
aircraft with Snowbirds and fly them South to Miami. Join us on
Saturday, December 10th from 2200Z to 0200Z for a day filled with
our best controllers online providing our best ATC service. Our
featured airports will be KMIA, KFLL, and KTPA. Controller Sign-Ups

Vargas has been selected as the next ZMA Air Traffic Manager. Congratulations,

10-26-2005 Mark
Polston has been selected as the new Director, Air Traffic - Southern
Region (VATUSA9). Congratulations, Mark! We all look forward to working
with you.
10-12-2005 The next purge of our membership
roster will occur on November 1, 2005. All controllers who have become
inactive will be removed at that time.
10-9-2005 The time has finally arrived.
We will now use the NEW
runway numbers at Miami International. Please see the post in the Instruction/Training
section of the Forum. There is also an update to the Miami TRACON file
and our Alias file on the downloads page.
10-6-2005 Jeff Turner, currently the
Chief of Denver ARTCC, has been selected as the new Director of VATUSA
(VATUSA1). We look forward to working with Jeff to make VATUSA a thriving
member of the VATSIM community.
10-2-2005 We are pleased to announce
the establishment of a new Letter of Agreement by and between Miami
ARTCC and Jacksonville ARTCC. The full document is summarized in Service
Bulletin 20051002, and can be found on the SOP
/ LOA page.
An update to the Florida Sector File (version
2.1) is now available. This file incorporates the Tampa TRACON into
the ARTCC boundary, and cleans up other minor issues. You can download
the Sector File here.
7-22-2005 IMPORTANT:
For the next few weeks, the duties and functions
normally provided by our Chief Instructor will be handled by the Facility
Chief. Please contact The Chief if you need an Instructor
Assignment, or about any other training matter.
