THE 757 PROJECT DEVELOPMENT LOG December 2001 12/2/01 Wow! I've been working on The 757 Project for 4+ months already! It's amazing that before August I could not program one bit of a gauge, but now, only 4 months later, I'm programming like I've been doing it for years! Today I finished the Airspeed gauge. Here is the updated list of completed gauges: - Complete EICAS! - Stand-by Engine Indicators - Vertical Speed Indicator - Airspeed Indicator - Numerous Panel Toggles - Passenger Signs - Pneumatic Panel Here is the list of gauges that are an ongoing project: - Annunciators* - Hydraulics Panel* - CAS (Crew Alert System) [*Note : Most of these gauges depend on other parts of the panel to function. They will not be fully complete until the panel is almost operational ] 12/4/01 I have started a finished some of the fuel panel. I have completed all of the strings indicating fuel level and temperature. Next is crossfeed and fuel pumps. 12/5/01 through 12/14/01 I have finished the fuel panel completely! It looks very nice. I also started the APU gauges. I have a feeling that they are going to take a while because they are very big. Progress is coming along good, though, because after the APU is finished, many of the main systems on the overhead will be complete!!! 12/14/01 through 12/24/01 The APU system is totally finished! It looks pretty cool. I had to code two seperate gauges: 1.) APU Operation (On/Off Switch) 2.) Electrical Panel The Electrical Panel controls what sources power the electrical buses of the aircraft. The APU Operation gauge controls the state of the APU (turns is ON/OFF) 12/25/01 through 12/30/01 I have gotten a good start on the Altimeter. At first I was just going to take the easy way out and make a single string that displayed the altitude. But then I decided to make individual elements that move individually (like the Concorde engine gauge labels). This will no doubtely take more time. DECEMBER END
