Enhancing your flightsimulator experience, that's the main goal we had in mind when we designed Enviro! We worked hard on making this program for the pc, and now you can use it, for free too. So... what can Enviro! mean for you and your flight simulators like Fly!, Fly!2K, Fly! II, Flight
Simulator 2004, Flight Simulator 2002, Flight Simulator 2000, Flight Simulator 98, X-Plane, Falcon 4.0, and Falcon 4.0 SuperPAK ?
Enviro! brings more atmosphere to your flights by being able to play real ATC (Air Traffic Control), Checklists and other sounds through the normal sound you're hearing when you are flying your sim. You can customize which sounds Enviro! should play, specify a delay that should be used between the atc sounds, modify the sound volume the sounds should be played at... In short, you can introduce and fully customize real chatter which will enhance your flightsimulator experience.
You do not have to be online to enjoy chatter when you are flying. Enviro! uses wave files that are stored on your computer. The program can handle a virtually unlimited amount of wave files, so you will never get bored listening to the random chatter - Enviro! makes it varied. If you do get bored, just download more ATC wave files from the internet, store them on your computer, and enjoy a more varied chatter. Or create your very own wave files using Enviro's Recording Area. This also enables you to create your own checklists that can assist you in operating your aircraft. Using specific hot keys in-flight, you have full control over the playing of your favourite sounds.
Enviro! allows you to set up multiple Banks, each bank containing different wave files. This allows you to create different styles of chatter. You can easily change the current Bank that Enviro! is using to play wave files by using hot keys. You can use these hot keys when you are flying in your flight simulator, allowing you to enjoy varied chatter. You can also temporarily start or stop Enviro!'s chattering with these hot keys, which is useful when you are actually using your simulator's features. You can fully customize all Banks. You can configure the wave files to be played in a random or forced order, using specific delays between the playing of wave files if so desired.
But that's not all of Enviro!'s features of course. You can have Enviro! download the latest METAR (weather) data from the internet, and use it in your flight simulator, if it supports that! For example, you can start Fly! and meanwhile let Enviro! download the realtime weather. In Fly!, you can then import this weather - which will provide you with a truly realistic flying environment.
You can also easily start your flight simulator by selecting it in the Enviro! user interface, and clicking a single button. Before you click this button, you can setup the desired ATC environment, and/or download the latest METAR data into the flight simulator's METAR folder. Enviro! also allows you to start other freeware utilities such as InfoMETAR, ThinMetar and Sky!. You are able to quickly calibrate your yoke or joystick and view your current IP address, useful for when you are flying with other pilots.
The program's name Enviro! is thus easily explained: the program creates a fun environment to fly in.
Enviro! comes with a detailed and easy to use HTML Help system which will learn you how to use and explore Enviro!'s many features. You can use the Help system to learn everything about Enviro!'s user interface, and how you use the program in the most efficient way.
Enviro! is free to download and use, and will work together with some of the most popular civilian flight simulators available today. It has been written for use with Fly!, Fly!2K, Flight Simulator 2004, Flight Simulator 2002, Flight Simulator 2000, Flight Simulator 98, Falcon 4.0, and Falcon 4.0 SuperPAK, but you should be able to use the ATC features with most latest sims.
Note: Enviro! does not modify your flight simulator installation and settings. It is safe to use, and requires just very little system resources. There will be hardly any decrease in system performance when you are using it.
At this moment, we offer our official Enviro! 3.2 release for download. Please note that the future of Enviro! depends on the comments and suggestions we receive back from its users. When you are using Enviro!, please email us and let us know what you think of the program. Is it easy and fun to use? Do you consider Enviro! to be a useful enhancement for your flightsimming? Do you have any comments, questions, suggestions or bugreports? Please let us know - we really appreciate your feedback. And we will use it to improve Enviro!

In the year 2000, the Dutch Flightsim days were held at the National Aerospace Museum Aviodome-Schiphol, in The Netherlands
The Aviodome was founded on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of Fokker, KLM and Schiphol Airport in 1969/1970. In 1960 an aviation museum was situated at Schiphol-East. Since the opening of the new airport Schiphol-Centrum, the unique Aviodome building has been situated at its present location. The aluminium dome has a 60 metre span and it hosts more than 20 aircrafts.

A lot of flight simming enthusiasts were present, and we (Rob Visser and Rene van Dop) were demonstrating the newest versions of our Enviro! software to those interested, on saturday. A day before we had created about 200 paper Enviro! flyers, which were almost gone at the end of saturday. A lot of people took our flyers home, and we have only very few left :) Thanks everyone for your interest in our software!

The Dutch Flight Sim weekend was a great experience. It has been the very first time we have demonstrated our Enviro! software to flightsimmers during a large event. A lot of people were very intrigued by our software, which made our visit to the Aviodome a very worthwhile one. It was an experience not to be missed!
We also attended the yearly Dutch flight simulator weekend on April 28th 2001. It was, once again, a truly wonderful event. We have met a lot of flightsim fanatics, have been interviewed by reviewers and organizations, and demonstrated our freeware utility Enviro! to the flightsimming public.

One of the highlights of the day was meeting up with Francois Dumas and Aidan Williams of AVSIM Online fame :) We had an interesting chat about our freeware product Enviro!, and also discussed flightsimming in general. It was a great time, and we are thanking Francois and Aidan for stopping by!
It was also a lot of fun to see some Enviro! fans returning to the Flightsim Weekend. We had a few of our true fans stopping at our demonstration area, just to let us know that they are still using our Enviro! program. Thank you guys, you really made our day there :)
thank you!

We would like to express our utmost gratitude to everyone checking out our Enviro! project. Creating the Enviro! program and sharing it with the flightsimulator community means a lot to us. We truly enjoy the writings we are receiving from people all over the world. It is simply amazing to see that there are so many amazing people out there who share the same flightsim passion as we do.

We are really honoured that our Enviro! Website is now hosted by AVSim. We hope that this will allow more flightsimulator fanatics to gain access to our Enviro! program. Thank you AVSim!

I was initially struck by the quality of Enviro!'s user interface. Setup and installation were consistent with what has become the industry standard. Current freeware authors are producing quality products equal or superior to many commercial vendors. Enviro! will not disappoint in this area. It is clear that the Enviro team spent a good deal of time making the program user friendly. -Barry Lawrence, AVSIM Staff Reviewer

If you haven't been using Enviro! you've been missing out on some really great immersion. I've always had it installed, but just recently began using it for every flight, and I am really amazed at how much more realism it adds to Fly! and FS2K. Definitely recommended! -Jak Fearon, how in the world?
