Ad rates depend upon ad size and where the ad is placed on AVSIM Online. Current rates will be provided upon request by sending email to ADVERTISING@AVSIM.COM.

AD PLACEMENT:

Ads are placed on a first come/first serve basis. Advertisers placing a 2 month contract for any given location will have right of first refusal on continued placement on their current location. Other locations will be reserved for a 2 month or longer contract holder if those locations become available.

AD SIZES AND TECHNICAL DETAIL:

Banner Ads (460 X 60) cannot exceed 20 Kbytes in size. 140 X 100 Ads cannot exceed 15 Kbytes in size. Ads can be either JPG or GIF format. Ads can be animated, but must adhere to the image sizes stated. Animations can be continuous loop.

AD URLS:

Each ad must be accompanied by a URL or e-mail address which must be linked to the graphic. If a link supplied with an advertisement does not work, or does not work reliably, AVSIM will not place the ad, or will otherwise remove an already placed advertisement after giving the advertiser notice of, and an opportunity to correct the problem.

STARTING AND ENDING DATES:

The contract placement date will be the date that the advertisement is brought online. A "one month" contract expires 30 days after the placement date. A "two month" contract expires after 60 days, etc. Ads not renewed 5 days prior to the contract expiration date will be removed upon contract expiration, and the space will become available for other advertisers. Run dates are automatic; that is, your ad will automatically expire at the end of the contract period unless you notify us in advance that you would like to extend your contracted period.

PAYMENT TERMS AND CONDITIONS:

All payments, domestic or international, will be in U.S. dollars in the form of a check or money order or via PayPal. All payments will be in advance of insertion, unless other arrangements are approved in advance by AVSIM Online. Advertising will not be placed online until checks clear all bank transactions (approximately 5 working days). Postal money orders for international advertisers are accepted as are payments made through PayPal. International Bank Transfers can be accomodated. Ad renewals should be received at least 5 days prior to the advertiser contract expiration date, and prepayment must accompany the renewal request, unless other arrangement are approved in advance by AVSIM Online.

ACCEPTABLE ADVERTISEMENTS:

AVSIM reserves the right to refuse advertising for any reason. AVSIM will accept any advertising which, in its sole opinion, is germane to the flight and combat simulation communities. Software, hardware and add-ons are acceptable. Non-flight related advertising will be reviewed for pertenance to our audience. Graphics and text embedded in advertisements and the content of the WEB site they link to must be of a nature suitable to a general family audience.

LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

By submitting an advertisement for inclusion in AVSIM Online, advertisers agree to indemnify and protect AVSIM Online, its officers, employees, contractors, distributors and all others associated with its publishing and content, from claims of false advertising, misleading advertising practices or any claim against said advertiser as may arise as a result of placing an advertisement in AVSIM Online. Indemnification will include all attorneys fees and court costs associated with such action.
