It should be today, but the delays are frequent and not always announced beforehand.  If they happen they normally start around 4-5pm GMT, and normally on a Tuesday.  In this case, I believe they did say between 9th and 11th of January.

Call me Bob or Rob, I don't mind, but I prefer Rob.

I like to trick airline passengers into thinking I have my own swimming pool in my back yard by painting a large blue rectangle on my patio.

Notably, it's suggested to remove the spikes fix, even when you re-activate the folder.

Kind regards, Michael

What I usually do before an update is this: I rename my community folder into community.org so that the update can create a new, empty one. After the update is complete, I delete the new community folder and rename the old one. So far, this has worked for me 🙂

Bernd-

Do you own FSDT and Orbx products, and does your method wor with them? I had an issue when manually deleting FSDT and @virtuali had suggested using the uninstall/install process for his products.

I’m hoping that as one is not really changing anything by renaming the folder twice, it does work.

So far I’ve been lucky with not deleting everything from the Community folder before updating, but it’s likely only a matter of time....

Yes, I own a couple of ORBX products, which are stored on a different drive than MSFS. ORBX automatically links them to the community folder. And so far the renaming has worked for me. I don't own FSDT though.

That of course could be very true, that's why I have all my add-ons stored as a back-up on another separate drive. What I have downloaded from the Tonga site in the last six months alone is more than I have collected for P3D in four years (payware and freeware) 🙂

FSDT creates symbolic links from the true installation place ("C:\Program Files (x86)\Addon Manager" in my case, while MSFS resides on L). As Bernd does, I rename the Community folder in case of updates, thus, symbolic links remain in the renamed folder and return when I name it back (actually, I have two batches for renaming back and forth).

ORBX makes real directories instead of symbilc links, at least in my case, but this may depend on the chosen installation method. I always opt for "Install into Simulator" (or similar, from head).

An alternative is to use Addon Linker with a profile "empty".

Kind regards, Michael
