If it were this simple, you'd think in the last 3 days where the issue has been observed, they would have made a statement to that effect.

They've made it, seven hours ago. Look in the News section of their forums.

I have read speculations from someone associated with a 3pdeveloper that with the current state on the BING side of things it might be necessary to update each and every affected product  - with all the consequences for timeframe and effort. To me that sounds logical, because he also stated that the parameters of the sai*.cgl files (those causing the CTD's) are automatically determined according to BING standards while building the scenery packages and it might therefore need a new version of the packagebuilder for compatibility.

So, the developers that made their scenery according to the SDK would be now urged to update their work due to a change in the BING data?. Seems like a joke!.

you may find the reason you are getting CTD is because they updated the servers but did not update client side as planned . My guess anyway.

Ah well...  I have almost lost interest anyway.  To hell with it all - there are more important and joyful things going on in the MSFS world.  Have you all not seen the Airbus coffee cups appearing at flightsim.to?  Hell's teeth - there is even a paint kit!  Now we are rolling!

Call me Bob or Rob, I don't mind, but I prefer Rob.

I like to trick airline passengers into thinking I have my own swimming pool in my back yard by painting a large blue rectangle on my patio.

None of my addons have cgl files but if any did I simply would disable them if possible,

I have more than 3000 of the guys, payware and freeware alike. If they are updated with a speed of 100/day this will take just a month. With lower speed a bit longer ... don't worry, be happy.

Kind regards, Michael

I honestly hope not until they've rectified the CTD issues since Friday, I'd much rather an update that didn't break more than it added. Trouble is Asobo have shot themselves in the foot saying the update is "locked in" for release tomorrow, schoolboy error that as if they need to delay it again they may release regardless.... and that worries me!

Yes but lets hope this is just a server side issue, so it can be resolved server side and therefore has no impact on the client as it's currently live anyway so a client update is unlikely to make things worst. Basically you've not convinced me this will delay or impact the update tomorrow but we'll soon find out. 🙂

Nothing will kill MSFS as a platform quicker then if this is the case.

Why would they delay this. They don't care about the scenery spikes. A few scenery's crashing no sweat

Look at all the sales from the UK World update

Yeah, what's up with those coffee cups. Sheesh! Why would anyone want to download and install and manage updates to that? Sheesh!
