Oh god. Not the toilet roll thing again. Thanks a lot press people. Idiots.

Luckily we in Guernsey wipe our bums on seaweed.

Whoa. That captain probably have had better days in the office..

Only partially. The real folks in the "hot seat" are the two canal pilots who were controlling the ship's journey through the canal.

Does @KL791 ship traffic freeware model this behavior?

We will include excavator and ship in the next update... he will probably still be digging at that time...

The press has come out today and said toilet rolls could be in short supply due to this 😁 so you can expect panic buying again.

Not a problem here. I bought 15,600 rolls a year ago just at the start of the panic buying. That'll teach those greedy people who hoard things.

Yes it is amazing how many people don't understand the roll of the Canal Pilots who take over a ship during this operation.

That is true, but the ultimate responsibility still lies with the skipper, however unfair that is.  (Ex Merchant Navy marine engineer)

They are talking about removing some of the load to float the ship, if they take the GPU`S first, half the load will be gone then they can mine for bitcoin to pay the bill for all claims they will come there way.

Good Grief!

Take a close look at the traffic jam in both directions!

Is this what's going shutdown the world? A clogged drain in Egypt...

Ever Green had barely gotten started on it's trip through the canal:

So, when they finally unplug the canal, how do they decide who goes first?

Since virtually all transits must be pre-booked for a specific date it would seem reasonable that they would keep the same order when traffic resumes. Unless someone offers a larger transit fee (see above) 🙂.
