Just reading about X-plane and the map feature.

 

Saw you can position your plane anywhere on the map. Change alt sppeed heading etch.

Does this work in demo of the software

Ok.  Must of done something wrong.  Was trying to click/hoover  of miniature plane but nothing  Will try tonight again

Yep, bring up map (m key), click the small aircraft (yours, not any AI you may have enabled) until a window pops up that lets you set all those parameters. You can also drag the airplane (once it is clicked) around the map.
