I'm just happy to have a sim constantly being updated. Others not so much, they hate it. As long as we are getting updates means they are interested and hopefully others are too. But to be honest that is to much to ask here! Some people are just never happy.

Updates, bring them on I say.

Yep, take the world updates as example. In each world update we get an amount of hand tailored buildings that other sims have in total (not taking photogrammetry into account to start with).

And I might be the only one, but default float and ski planes, from what I've seen on YT videos, they are the Xcub, C-172, and Zin Ultra Cub is it? And waves or wakes, and particles in snow and when a aircraft lands, at least I saw an A320 I think it was landing on a rainy runway and water was spraying from the tires, MSFS Xbox video. If we get the same, which my understanding is we will? Oh and one small thing, optimization of some sort 🙂 Something about threads or something 🙂 Man some people here are gonna be ____________ 🙂

Already getting good performance but all performance extra is very welcome …

As there is no Multi monitor support atm I am zoomed in a lot and therefore need the LOD’s at least at180 …

I will hope I am sat reading through Avsim with some popcorn in hand, reading through hyperbolic posts about minor issues, nice and relaxed after an enjoyable 4 hour flight.

I will hope I am not participating in the threads, banging away on the keyboard and bemoaning that this fresh new hell has been thrust upon us 🤣

My predictions:

  1. Avsim will explode with people saying the sky has fallen in, least realistic simulator since FS8, Asobo should be fired, remember the good old days of last week, etc.
  2. For about a week people will be moaning that default LODs have been nerfed even further, the update broke scenery and plane addons and everything's terrible.
  3. Devs will catch up, patches will be released, somebody will post a LOD hack to restore it back to where it was pre-update.
  4. After a fortnight everyone will be playing the latest updated sim as normal.
  5. An Xbox gamer will come onto Avsim and post "how do I land my 747 at Courchevel, I keep crashing :( " and will probably delete MSFS after the mauling he gets.

Looking forward to it, i am sure if there are any issues they will quickly fix them (not so sure on 3rd party devs scenary etc, but i fully expect the renouned ones to step up with any fixes required.) otherwise onwards and upwards. We can only keep gaining improvement through updates.

I've got 7 or 8 Benchmarks planned once the download finishes, want to see if the fabled performance optimisations are actually decent enough.

Since I have purchased a replacement PC and external monitor which I configured during he week-end I will start tomorrow with a fresh new install.

I will only re-use my MSFS License from the Microsoft store to start the installation.

Then I will install add-ons gradually. The critical ones first.
