Taking a flying car for a test drive

Recommended Posts

Now now this actually looks like a lot of fun, and unlike some of these things, it actually looks a bit practical too.

That is NOT a "car" under any possible imagination!

It is however an interesting - but impractical - concept vehicle.

Huh! 😁 I presume you were joking? Its the most insane, impractical, ridiculous concept known to man. And I'm a fan of electric aviation.

The Joby and the Lilium and Eviation Alice are proper vehicles. Rather than something that looks like and flies like it was conceived by a nut job.

That was funny!  I'd love to try the simulator that they had: VR headset with motion chair.

Well, at least that one has wheels! 😁

Lack of wheels doesn't bother me if the plane is functional without them (its essentially VTOL)

On the other hand, I have seen "flying cars" with what amounts to regular car tires, which scares the heck out of me if you imagine the forces on landing that a regular car tire was never made for.

And others, with spindly protuberances purporting to be landing gear that are just as scary.

Cars should be cars and planes should be planes I say. Combine the two and what is often referred to as a flying compromise becomes a flying monstrosity.

Bask in my words of wisdom and award as many cat points as required.
