Hopefully they've made progress in addressing the degradation of the anti-radar coating encountered at high speeds along with other concerns involving stress to the airframe; wouldn't want this new engine aggravating those problems.

Yes I've seen some photographs of pretty dodgy looking skin. Almost looks like rust, but of course a composite cant rust. 

I'm wondering what sort of preface improvement the new engine will provide. Apparently, it helps to mitigate the compromise between power and endurance, thus, a powerful power plant but still with impressive range.
