I'm another in the STD is dreck camp.  Probably my pet peeve is that EVERY time there is a problem or the ship lurches, sparks fly all over the place. I would have hoped that engineers in the distant future could construct something that wouldn't shower sparks on everyone at the least provocation.

Mainly to me, the characters lack interest. The most interesting to me frankly is the budding relationship between Suru and the Vulcan president.

Picard has promise - they are sort of remaining true to the Star Trek mantra. I care more about these characters than I do STD.

Any chance you could ask them to stop spinning the ship every time they engage the bonkers spore drive. I mean, I cringe that much my face is permanently stuck in the cringe position. Its the most pathetic effect I've seen on any science fiction show. Utterly pointless. 

 

Who in their right mind thought that was a good idea.

I never liked the Q character (or the actor for that matter), and from this preview my opinion hasn't changed. If anything, the character is even worse.
