The New Flightsim.to

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I was just prepared for my daily visit at flightsim.to, after it was offline for a few hours.

The previous version (IMHO) was just perfect, not yet convinced the new one is better. But perhaps it's just me growing old.

Kind regards, Michael

I agree with all of this, including me growing old.

The improvements consists in making it more difficult to access the recent uploads, and removing the possibility to filter them by category. Another improvement is putting fascinating social-media styled content in the middle of the page, exactly where I didn't need it.

I wish they didn't "improve" it...

After using it for 10 min, I found it's a total disaster. There are so many elementary design flaws, someone must have smoked some bad grass.

Kind regards, Michael

It doesn't seem very responsive.  A bit of a resource hog by the look of it.  I don't think it was necessary to change it like that.

I am sure the blue-sky website designer who created it is happy, but there is no real improvement for the user.

I certainly don't like it, but we can't complain when its for free.  At least it is there and the MSFS marketplace isn't!

I go to FS.to less and less now though as my MSFS is really padded out with all of the mods and repaints.

Call me Bob or Rob, I don't mind, but I prefer Rob.

I like to trick airline passengers into thinking I have my own swimming pool in my back yard by painting a large blue rectangle on my patio.

I like the little discover window. I don't know if it's based off my usual categories, but it's nice having the one-click to get to the common liveries I use.

The rest of it hurts my brain.

I like the black/dark background.  I hate the overly big descriptive text over each download.  .  I want to see the full picture first, the descriptive text after. Half the visual is obscured.

Or you did before checking it out 😁 A lot of change indeed. Howe are we supposed to cope with all this??!

Cheers, Bert
