Third Party Airports not recognized, stock only

Hi Nico!

 

I've got an oddity happening today that I can't seem to resolve; and it came out of nowhere.  PSXT will not load the airport file for any third party scenery.  I've not changed anything anywhere in the last 24 hours that could cause this to my knowledge.  I'll include the parameters file for you to look at.

 

Additionally, I'm on the ground at LTFM.  I have third party scenery loaded there that is NOT marketplace.  It has worked before.  It worked yesterday.  Today PSXT says "User aircraft on the ground at LTFM, no airport file found."  I suspect this is directly related to the above problem as well.  Any help would be appreciated!

PS - Interestingly enough, PSXT doesn't have anything in my thirdpart airport folder.  I'm guessing that's not good.

With computers nothing comes out of nowhere 😉

Something must have changed (at your site probably because PSXT has not changed over the last 24 hours ...)

That's no good indeed.  

I recommend to download 6.8.0 from my site and do a fresh install.

Sorry to bring up old topic but this is happening for me with latest version 7.5. Tropicalsim KMCI will not be rocognized. I did a fresh install and no matter what learn destination only shows stock MCI

The addon airports scanned are in your airports\my_thirdparty folder.

In PSXT/output/info/AirportsScanLog.txt you can see what PSXT has found about KMCI.... Check that first please

thanks for the quick reply. MCI was not listed in either of those locations. I did uncheck and then recheck the automatic scan for airports and now it worked.

Having a similar problem since upgrading to 7.7.7. None of my freeware third-party sceneries are generating traffic.  

 

The airports are showing in both airports\my_thirdparty and PSXT/output/info/AirportsScanLog.txt.  Can't figure out why these airports are empty.

After starting the program the addon airport will display in the program...so it "sees" it.  But no planes spawn.  I've done two fresh installs.

Aircraft are showing up at default MSFS airports.

Where did you install 6.8.0? Im having the same issue and 7.7.7 wont work no matter how many times i fresh install. Nothing in the archive folder

Try this:

Delete C:\Users\<you>\AppData\Roaming\PSXT\paramrters.xml first, then re-download and install.

Try this:

Delete C:\Users\<you>\AppData\Roaming\PSXT\parameters.xml first, then re-download and install.

Did not seem to work either. Have no clue what could’ve caused this as like the previous post made a few months ago said I haven't changed anything and the entire archive folder for 3rd party airports is just empty

Then try this. Remove the archive folder completely. Delete the line DATA_ CHECK_DAY ( or something like that, I am not at home at my pc you know..) from parameters.xml and then start PSXT.

If that does not work, post your Log txt.
