I'll never for the life of me understand why they somehow chose the weird pause system over a standard pause system.

I presume its related to live. If you attempt a flight in live in order to simulate actual weather and day/night conditions then, any pause of the flight is not pausing live since then it would no longer be live. Which begs the question, why would you even want to pause a flight in live unless live was not important to the flight?  Of course if you're not using live, then a pause where the sim continues (because it needs that feature for live)  probably doesn't matter because you can just readjust the time as required with preset weather. I have no idea otherwise why they would choose that approach.

No. No, Mav, this is not a good idea.

Only if FSDT updates to support it.

But it was mentioned in the GSX 3.0 thread that they need to find a way to detect the different cabin layouts that PMDG uses for different liveries.

At least it looked like the flight deck door was open in the video which I  believe is a requirement right now...

So glad they're moving all the doors and equipment to the EFB

Agreed!

I also thought they had found and are working on a fix for the 737 hard left yoke.  In the interim it is literally 5 seconds to hit esc and restart flight if it happens.  I doubt they would release the 777 with that issue but that certainly isn't going to stop me purchasing the 777.

Luckily the 777 will only have 1 cabin config for the foreseeable future so having seating for the 777 shouldn’t be too hard to add.

Been buying PMDG products since their original 747.   But never got a 777 from them.

Excited to buy this 777 though.   Once it makes it to the Marketplace,  instant purchase for me.

Is PMDG unable to make a video properly??

The release announcement is for mobile phones (!), the official trailer is 21:9 but due to their "adaptation" to 16:9 screens, shows black bands BOTH on top and below AND on the sides of my 21:9 screen 👎

Does anyone have an opinion  on the wingflex animation in these videos?  It seems the animation is not as authentic as other large airliners in FS2020.  More like the 737

Regardless, looking forward to it.

Yes I agree, could it be the replay tool limitations?

And also when it lands, the hydraulic shock absorber does not compress much

Perhaps most people watch trailers on their mobile phones? I mean they have the necessary data to know that.

Me as well.  I thought this had now been fixed with SU15 and that true gear compression was possible.  Hopefully PMDG have made that work.  I also assume what we are seeing on the videos is replay capture and more than likely a limitation of the playback

Why would you buy it via the Marketplace unless you had no other choice? Obviously if you are on XBox you can get it no other way, but if you are on PC it is far better to get it directly from PMDG.

The problem with the Marketplace is getting timely updates. If PMDG releases an update to the aircraft, you can get the update instantly using the PMDG Operations Center. The same update can take many days or even weeks to make it through the Marketplace acceptance process.

I mean, look at this, and anyway the 21:9 one is botched as well.

Not only timely updates but the encryption used by the MP would mean that if GSX 3.0 'passengers' feature ever does come to the 777, it will only work with non-MP version of it.

The release announcement was a reel for their facebook page which also then got released as a short on youtube, and reels are 9:16 aspect ratio usually per facebook recommendations (definitely vertically oriented). Can't speak for 21:9 monitors, the official trailer shows as it should on my 16:9 screen for being a wider aspect ratio video.

Look at what? I don’t see anything obviously wrong in your screen capture.

Full disclosure: I am viewing the forum on a mobile phone. I watch YT videos all the time, and I have never used YT on anything other than a mobile phone. Likewise for posting on this (or other) forums. I could do either on my desktop PC of course, but firing up my PC just to do that is a hassle - and I often view YT or forums when away from home.
