Then you haven't straighten out (de-crab) the aircraft correctly yet. Please see page 44 of the manual , second paragraphe.

is there a trick to getting the vector cursor to show up in the PFD? I can't find any setting for it and have yet to have it show during a landing and I've had some rather tricky ones too.

I think some simmers are really getting carried away - at the end of the day we're sitting in a chair in front of a PC - not even the highest end addons are close to actual flying. This addon cost les

Not to mention that basically only one country still uses Imperial for weights. If any such non switchable option would exist it would likely be the other way round. Metric not being able to be switched to Imperial. ;)

In fairness though, that one country buys more business jets than every other country combined.

I think you just have to enable the Synthetic Vision on the PFD and then the vector circle thingy will be there.

I have issue with Garmin that either doesn't calculate TOD or calculate ridiculously close to the airport. Could it be issue with simbrief importing flight plan?

I couldn't find how to enable Synthetic vision on Phenom. But I enabled it on Skyward Sovereign and Garmin remembered. So now I have it on Phenom as well :)

Thank you for the reply Dave but I don't think that's the case since I have always had SV activated. Have tried with ILS and RNAV approaches and this doesn't seem to pop in at all.

Not sure why you aren't seeing it with SV on because that's how I enabled it...but this is what AI is saying about it:

"The "vector circle" you are referring to is known in aviation as the Flight Path Vector (FPV) or Flight Path Marker. To enable this "bird" symbol on the FSReborn (FSR) Phenom 300E in MSFS, you can either toggle the PFD SVT (Synthetic Vision) or activate the FPV directly through the Garmin G3000 settings.

Enabling the Flight Path Vector (FPV)

  1. Enabling the Flight Path Vector (FPV)

    1. Locate PFD Settings: On the Primary Flight Display (PFD) located on either side of the cockpit, tap the PFD softkey on the lower bezel to open the PFD options.

    2. Access Menu: Select PFD Settings or Settings.

    3. Toggle "Bird" (FPV): Look for an option labeled FPV, Flight Path Vector, or SVT (Synthetic Vision). Once toggled to ON, a small, wing-like circle will appear on your attitude indicator showing your exact trajectory."

Keep in mind it does not normally show up while you are on the ground, so you may not see it at first.

Can we please stop using AI to give answers to questions?

Not only is it a complete waste of resources, it is also pretty rude to not even take the time to write an answer oneself and instead simply copy what a machine has said.

Not to mention that this machine more often then not makes stuff up and the answer will be wrong in many cases.

I think you need to read, first, before making rude comments about me. Thank you.

Thanks Dave, will check the G3000 Settings, that may be the spot.. The manual doesn't state how to access it, only that it's used for the crosswind approach / landing maneuvers.

No. It is an issue with you not setting up the approach. For the TOD calculation to work you need an approach with an IAF that links to the final point of your star loaded.

A few things I'm still struggling with the Phenom...

1) The sensitivity, even after the update is still too much. It seems if you land firm in a crosswind, it has the tendency to throw you side to side, even if it's a light crosswind.

2) I've read all the literature surrounding the AC system, but I still for the life of me don't understand how I'm up at cruise, with the shades closed, and still can't cool the back down lower than 76F with everything on high and the AC set low. I've verified all of the maintenance is good to go and I've seen several others complain of this.

3) Passengers... with the M500, it was pretty straight forward to please the passengers, but with this new system, it's frustrating to see some pax with a 100% satisfaction and two others at 35% because of how their coffee was handed to them... something I can't change. The M500, if a pax wasn't satisfied, it was clear what the problem is, but with this new system, it's almost impossible sometimes and you just have to give up.

I love the products Raul makes and this is a solid product, but some of this stuff is annoying.

this is the main reason why you'll see people commenting that the flight dynamics on the sovereign are better than the phenom...the takeoff/landing dynamics of the phenom are simply not going to be compatible with all desktop pilots (😉), nor all the different hardware used for rudder control. It's a true to life effect about the aircraft, but it was over-done a bit in the sim.

I agree with this. I used to humour myself by keeping the pax happy in the M500 but in the Phenom I don't even look at that page any more. There are always a couple of pax who drop to 35% quickly, with no immediately obvious cause. Sometimes I even see the (dis)satisfaction reports for more pax than I've actually loaded! So I load 3 passengers in, but there are a couple of extra stowaways that aren't happy apparantly. 😄
