  1. Unfortunately, reports are suggesting the aircraft has crashed close to Niamey, Niger's capital. If you haven't seen it already, the link below is a great way to follow developing stories: http://www.breakingnews.com/topic/air-algerie-loses-contact-with-flight-july-24-2014/
  2. In my experience, it always works with the 737. I cant speak for the 747 though
  3. Have beta testers found that a lot of tweaking to the .cfg is required?
  4. I'm not 100% sure, my only thought is that maybe it's load shedding?
  5. Thanks for all your help everyone. I think I'm going to get the Surface Pro 2 (when it comes out) with the Aivlasoft EFB and Navigraph Cloud. Not too sure about touch or type cover just yet, any thoughts? Thanks,
  6. Thanks for that Kevin, I'm starting to lean back towards the surface now. Does anyone have any opinions on other Windows 8 convertibles? Thanks,
  7. Have you run Aivlasoft EFB with it? I heard there were some problems with it. Also, any thoughts on the Sony Vaio or Lenovo convertibles? Thanks,
  8. Greetings, I'm currently looking for a tablet (preferably running Windows 8) to use as an EFB for FSX (Charts, Notes, TOPCAT, etc.) as well as run other programs like ActiveSky, PFPX and Photoshop. Does anyone have any suggestions from personal experience? I was thinking about a Surface, but after Froogle's video , I'm not so sure. Has anything changed since then? Thanks,
  9. When you are below 400ft, you can't engage the autopilot. You can also enable VR and V2 call outs within the options in the CDU (I can't remember exactly where as I'm not at my FSX PC right now) Hope that helps,
  10. I had a similar experience only a few flights ago. I found that the only way to clear it was by pushing the Cancel/Recall button on the Glare-shield.
  11. Why would you say it's not simulated? Practically every aspect of the aircraft has been simulated by PMDG. The system will automatically dump enough fuel to bring you down to below the Maximum Landing Weight. If you want to manually set how much fuel is to remain, you have to click on the knob to pull it out, and then adjust. Make sure you arm the system (switch on the far right, partially blocked by the knob), then move the plastic covers and turn the nozzles on. It can be slow, so be patient. Hope that helps, Keane Bourke
  12. Solved! All I needed to do was change the numbering in the panel.cfgHope this helps anyone who is having the same problem,Qantas_nerd
