  1. Yes we are all referring to the 'sim1.dll' file. There was an addon altered file that was available on FS9.

The problem with this for FSX is that some devs (IFLY737ng) recognised this and altered their models to make them more realistic. If and when someone makes a realistic file for FSX, then owners of the IFL737 will have problems, methinks.

I do agree though with the OP that friction is WRONG in FSX.

  2. It's all in the costumer's head. I purchased a LOT of games at Steam I had no intention of buying when it was full price, but the human mind can't resist a good Sale =p Ask the guys from FSDreamTeam how many % they sold more than usual during this last 40% Sale, must have been a LOT more, because you don't have to choose between buying the MD11 or not buying it, you have to choose between buying the MD11, or Buying the new A2A Sim Bird, or Buying the new Weather Utility, etc.

Anyway, the point of the topic is gone since Black Friday is past, PMDG will probably never do anything like we suggested here, so let's move on. It was good having this talk with all of you here, we all learned a lot about the FS Market.

    C'mon Alec

How much longer can you resist? Isn't she beautiful? Click to get the full picture

  3. I had a similar experience.

Installing PMDG aircraft older than the NGX can give you problems such as CTD's and black screens. Simple answer is to install your 747's before the NGX. See if that works, it did for me?

  4. I bought the MD-11 for FS9 from PMDG.

I believe it is the most complex bar the Maddog and it's a joy to fly too.

When I updated to FSX I liked the MD-11 so much I purchased the box set from ------, The FSX version is far nicer and then when you consider that AoA do an extremely good instructional training course on it, you realise how hard PMDG devs worked on producing this model.

As other have said, it is the best thing they ever done, excluding the NGX and the hard work they did is so apparent when you experience it.

Christmas is coming so if you cannot afford it yet, save your money and buy it when you have got it, you'll appreciate it all the more.

    100% value fopr money!

  5. Thanks Doorstep. I looked in the modules folder but there is no F1.dll. There is one called F1_view.dll. Is this the one? Just want to make sure I don't delete something important. Can I just rename it to something like F1_viewHHH.dllHHH?

    Thanks

    Yes sorry for the confusion.

  6. Hi again guys. I'm still waiting for them to send me my registration key so I've been using it only where it works at the moment, which is KSEA.

I love the VC effects but have a problem with my middle mouse wheel. I've disabled the middle mouse zoom, pan and move in Active Camera's option menu, but when I scroll it up or down, the pilot's head position moves forward and back. So it's impossible to turn the heading, alt, speed, etc knobs in the VC.

I know there's got to be a way to keep my middle mouse button/wheel the way it was by FS9 default. How did you guys stop this from occurring?

    Thanks

get rid of 'F1.dll' in your modules folder.

  7. There is no reason to apply ANY flaps at that flight level.

Regarding the rest of your question, the higher you fly the less resistance on the airframe leads to higher and more economic speed. The drawback comes when the IAS (Indicated airspeed) shows less speed due to the change in barometric pressure at high flight levels.

  8. Hi

I'm having a strange problem with EZCA, only on the 600/700 of the NGX.

Trying to set up external views and all I get is this, rather than full aircraft! Doesn't happen on 800/900.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks

Yes, you have to change to the outside view by right clicking for view option,s before using the EZCA change of external views options.

  9. PMDG, I believe have stated that FSUIPC is not required to operate their aircraft.

I have seperate throttles on my Saitek Pro Flight Yoke for all four engines. I find that programming them for use within the simulation and in 'assignments' leads to jerkiness and not smoothly working as they should do?

Do I have some sort of fault in my standard installation please?

    I am using FSX Gold.
