Retrieving the default view in 2D cockpit so that the view is as it was?

Does anyone know how to do this please?

It's easy in the VC view just by pressing the shift key but the 2D view is problematic.

Any advice please?

'Shared cockpit' only works with the default aircraft.

Hello all

 

I've recently upgraded to FSX, and in FS9 my flight planning was non existent.

 

All I did was enter a start and end airport in FS9, and use the default ATC to guide me through a flight, culminating in an ILS approach into my airport.

 

Now that I have FSX and am upgrading to more serious payware aircraft etc, I would like to learn more about more "serious" flight planning.

 

I have purchased FSBuild, however the whole flight planning process just confuses me!

 

All I want to do is choose a route, depart the airport via a SID, and do an ILS landing at the destination airport via a STAR.

 

I am familiar with operating an FMC of a 737/757 from my FS9 days, and have a vague knowledge of the purpose of SIDS and STARS.

 

If anyone can talk me through their flight planning "routine" or share tips/resources then I'd be very grateful.

 

PS - I don't mind whether or not I use the ATC at this point in time.

Well I sorted it now.

A little man from Katmandu (probably) took over my computer by remote control and made the installer work! Just shows what can be done if you know all the commands eh? Apparantly this os common with Visa and W7.

Will all the contents of the DVD copy to the hard drive???

I tested the loading by installing another aircraft program which went through without a hitch.

Thanks to all, I have now ordered another copy of FSX Gold as I now suspect the disk is defective. Trouble is, I always really look after my disks and haven't experienced it before.

Thanks Jim for the quick response, appreciated. I have now done that and cleaned the disk drive too, all to no avail :(

It gets as far as 'Configuring Windows Installer' then shows 'not responding'.

I'm running W7x64. Any help would be much appreciated please?

I think it's a fantastic program and have already purchased. It has a lot of features that FSnav didn't have. B)

It can be Lite or Real. All you need to do is to set it up for yourself in the config utility.
