Just reading about X-plane and the map feature.

Saw you can position your plane anywhere on the map. Change alt sppeed heading etch.

Does this work in demo of the software

Question is there a way to upgrade the dabase in X-plane so the 530 can use it?  Thinking of Navigraph subscription  or something

good getting back into real flying,  Um a rusty pilot so i thought I use the simulator to start practice

MSFS is good just for visuals, and people have said X-plane better if you want to really fly

Does the x-plane software come with a  built in garmin 530 gps?

Another question   Calibrated my ch yoke.  So I see when I move the trolle it moves. Was going the wrong way so I reversed.

When I tried the C-172  When throttle closed  it showed wide open on plane

Is there another throttle setting II need to change or assign or something

Just bought new computer 

Two sims will install is MSFS2020 which is not the greatest for reall IFR practice.

My friend suggested X-Plane

He built my computer and downloaded the demo to my E: drive.

It runs.

I want to change the drive letter from E: to F:

Do I need to change anything in X-Plane to indicate this before I go ahead and do it?

All the third party scenery and aircraft will I need to do anything?  After the switch I will be purchasing X-plane

Will buy this weekend  Have the other two you have done

Well my friend said you will not be happy with this.  Was just an intim fix,

He does not build computers anymore and said to go to Canada Computers up here and Canada and they can .

The brands I list are the ones I have used for years and have been the most reliable. You could try cramming this all into a Mid Tower case but then you for sure sacrifice cooling and possible issues with the big RTX 3080 GPU.

Wil spend the money considering I keep computers until they die.

I still have the Desktop using Window XP and running FS2004

Friend of mine updated his to a super dopper computer

Has this and asked me if I would like to buy.    $1700

I agree monitor cant dipect correctly.  Just slight smaller than now and I think theywould be good.  Or just leave them I do not mind so long as they are positioned correctly

when I fly   signs are redable at center taxiways and runways.  In the sim I had to zoom to 80% and move near edge of runways and taxiway.  Not realistic.  My view point

Dont forget CYOO  Oshawa.  Tht way we have airports from Buttonvile to Ottawa
